• pH
  pH is the measure of the acidity or alkalinity of water. The ideal pH range for most pond fish and plants is between 7.0 and 8.5. Outside of this range, water can become harmful to aquatic life.
  
• GH
  GH measures the general hardness of water, or the amount of dissolved minerals such as calcium and magnesium. These minerals are important for healthy fish and plant growth. The ideal GH range for most pond fish and plants is between 8 and 12 degrees.
  
• KH
  KH measures the carbonate hardness of water, which is the water’s ability to resist pH changes. The ideal KH range for most pond fish and plants is between 6 and 8 degrees.
